Nestled in a superb location, Lumley’s Place Guesthouse is a must-visit for any travel enthusiast looking to indulge in culinary delights. During my recent stay, I enjoyed the charm of this home away from home, primarily due to Benita’s warmth and attentiveness. After a day exploring award-winning vineyards like Boschendal and Thelema, I looked forward to the breakfasts served on the sun terrace. Each morning greeted me with a spread of continental options, fresh and satisfying—just what I needed before heading out again. The views of the mountains created a picturesque backdrop perfect for enjoying a quiet meal. The accommodation itself was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night. The well-equipped shared kitchen and lounge provided an inviting space to mingle, while Benita’s connections for local transport made it easy to explore everything that Stellenbosch has to offer. With thoughtful touches and a well-located venue for weddings nearby, Lumley’s Place is an ideal spot for those wanting to experience the region’s rich wine culture. I highly recommend it!
